The Amber Story

Formed in 2006 as a five piece unit performing original material written by front man, Mark Burrows, Amber Climate are a refreshing, creative and sometimes challenging band that don't sit in an easily defined genre. And that's just how we want it.

Amber Climate were formed in 2006 by ex Patterns of Bucharest frontman Mark Burrows. Initially, we formed  to fulfill a request by Marks brother Neil Burrows of Just Nuisance to play at a summer festival.

Mark had continued to write after the break up of Patterns but the material never got any further than Mark's bedroom. The band played the gig and decided to stick together. More gigs followed. After a few lineup changes, the current members recorded their first album, 'In This World or the Next' in 2010.

Terry Slade joined the band in 2007 playing rhythm and acoustic guitar before opting to play bass guitar as work began on the second Album. Jimbo Macca ex Bicycle Thieves on Sax and keyboards was in from the start with Nigel Banister on drums, also an original member from 2006.

Marks Brother Neil joins the band for live performances, adding a second guitar and bringing that instinctive connection  that brothers seem to develop.
